Darrin Hartman “Moondance”

To see Darrin Hartman’s work is to witness nature through fragments. In his intricate depictions of utopian environments, Darrin Hartman shares a very intimate look at how he soaks in visual reality and empresses it onto canvas.

Hartman is a gatherer, capturing the cognitive experience of nature in oil and acrylic. In his paintings he explores the beauty of organic shapes as they are experienced in his psyche, and expresses it on canvas in fluid woven forms. His current series examines the cognitive experience, emotion, and connection enabled through painting. “Painted Bird”, depicts an eager openness to exploring the journey of absorbing inspiration, and interpreting it on canvas with intuition and spontaneity.

It is rare to find an artist so attuned to the moment-to-moment experience of painting in a way that captures a sense of life, nuance, and the intimate connection between the artist and the subject.

“Day 47, 2018” by Alex Nero, Edition of 3

Nero’s current body of work utilizes experimental techniques with chemistry and physical dynamics of paint within vessels of water, captured by digital photography. Nero’s imagery inspires a dialogue with the subconscious, allowing a unique experience through individual interpretation.  His work has reached millions and can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the world.

Olivia Daane’s “Peleides Pace”

Daane’s mixed media butterflies on canvas are filled with her use of color and love of language. Her butterflies share her view of art as a language that can dissolve barriers to communication. The butterfly, always a symbol of metamorphosis, has become her perfect muse for sheltering the globe’s challenges and beauty simultaneously.

There will also be a private reception on June 14th at The Limelight Hotel. Email [email protected] for more information.

Aspen Real Life

Treating ourselves to a seriously delicious burrito breakfast at @beardenaspen and saying our goodbyes before Dr. Nikki flys off ... again. Wish she could pack me in her suitcase but there’s only room for flip flops and bikinis in there. Save a lounge chair in the sun for me. You never know when I’ll show up on your doorstep. Follow @drnicolatalkshealth to keep track of her adventures.
