Strong Women Strong World: An Aspen Business Connect Online Event

Strong Women Strong World: An Aspen Business Connect Online Event

As part of the Aspen Business Connect “Helping Teens” program we shared the voices of Strong Women Strong World (SWSW) Next Gen President, Stefani Wojcik, and V.P. Stella Halferty in a Snowmass Base Village Real Estate penthouse suite. Sadly, due to Covid-19, we had to cancel the event but still recorded the panel.

In this conversation, these young women leading a SWSW club at Aspen High School share how women and girls in poverty face obstacles in every area of their life that keep them from realizing their full potential. Panel members included; Kathryn Compton of World Vision and Cari Higgins and Rick Wojcik of Brake the Cycle, an organization raising awareness and funds for World Visions’ mission to help the poor in Zambia.

Speaking to the importance of a collaborative ‘multi generational’ approach to changing the opportunities for girls to live healthier lives, SWSW believes that we can solve extreme poverty in our lifetime and help women and girls to enjoy equal rights, freedoms, and opportunities that will help their families, communities, societies, and economies to thrive

Strong Women Strong World next gen is connecting and mobilizing high school and college-aged students throughout the United States to respond to the needs of women and girls living in resource-poor countries by raising awareness and funds to empower girls and women through clean well water.

“If you want to lift up humanity, empower women. It is the most comprehensive, pervasive, high-leverage investment you can make in human beings.”

— MELINDA GATES, THE MOMENT OF LIFT

By joining the Strong Women Strong World next gen movement you can help to change the gross injustice against basic human rights for women and girls.

This year, inspirational and educational events are scheduled in Aspen, Snowmass Village and New York City to raise resources for the Strong Women Strong World next gen Fund.  The money raised will fund well projects so that clean water is close to home — freeing up time for millions of girls and women to reach their full potential—to pursue an education, learn a trade, care for themselves and their families better, or start a business. 100% of proceeds from the Aspen Business Connect conversation went to SWSW.
