Aspen Shopping With Dear Diary

Who is Dear Diary

So who is Dear Diary? She is Hayley Gentry, a blonde haired, long-legged, blue eyed Aspen local jet setter with a stunning, artistic and occasionally racy Instagram fashion feed.  I met Hayley through my spicy friend Susie Jimenez one sunny summer afternoon when Susie was taking my hand and literally pulling me into stores to talk about how I was the go-to-gal for driving traffic to our local businesses. Hayley had her bleach-blonde hair pulled back in a slick pony-tail. Wearing ripped jeans and a red & white striped blouse, she and Clayton (her then boyfriend, now husband) were head turners. Hayley is a blogger, stylist, and mom to Grace Harper, and now a fashion contributor to Aspen Real Life. When she’s not blogging, most of her days are spent traveling with Clayton, their growing family, and their pom puppy Cash Nugget.

Hayley’s Shopping Guide

The Ultimate Treat

The first order of business for me is feeling good before I hit the shops and for that I go to Regen Aspen. Self care is always a good thing. Around this time of year I like to try to get a facial and a body treatment of some sort. Then it’s off to the shops.

No Kidding Around

Aspen is stocked with great kids stores. A one stop shop for any mom in town has to be Bandana Aspen. They offer great brands and carry lines for as young as babies to teen fashions.

My personal favorite is The Tot pop up inside of ever after both are great but The Tot is just curated so well and offers baby sizes! I definitely picked up a few pieces from both shops this holiday season. Including a tropical themed snow globe!

[su_quote cite=””]We’re thrilled we found such an amazing space in Aspen for the Holiday season. We love to go where our clients are and continue to offer the best selection for kids. The Tot will be joining forces with us again– the destination for mamas and mamas to be.” says Sari. “The Tot is the perfect complement to our brand, and now we can cater to the entire family, from little kids to big kids and even parents, with our sister concept, the westside. [/su_quote]

Toast to the Host

A great gift for him, her or the host is at Kemo Sabe and it can be customized by you. Brand your own letters into a boot jack. What is more Aspen than a pair of boots?! A book jack of course. It’s a great gift for those who have everything and want nothing and those who you need a last minute something for.

Gucci, it’s my go to for every fabulous someone on my list. There is nothing not fabulous in there including the incredible sales team. They can make anything happen especially this time of year! (Say hello to our friend Cory Potter while in there – JL).

The Big Little

Barton Perreira is everything you need for you and anyone needing something unique, and of course with style. The customization they do with frames is like none other. Unique frames and brands including their house label. Linda Farrow a personal favorite.

Beauty Bonanza!

Cos Bar a place where you just want to run home and use the products you just discovered could be game changing! Whether it be the skin, hair or body products, they carry some incredible brands. For you or any skin or makeup obsessed on your list! Looking for stocking stuffers this is a great spot for any age — Deborah Lippmann ‘grey day’ nail polish (a @deardiary personal go to!). Another brand they carry is OUAI haircare people coming to visit for the holidays may not know that even your hair changes at 7908ft (Aspen’s elevation for those of you who don’t know). Anyway I totally recommend the entire OUAI line no matter your hair concern, they have you covered.  I could go on and on with what to get from this shop but I would say hands down a stocking stuffer in this town is the KNC Lip Masks.

Fashion For Good

Looking to feel good and make everyone look good?! Olivela is here to stay (we hope!).  First hearing a familiar voice outside of this boutique yelling “deardiary let me see that baby!!” I immediately pushed my stroller with baby on board towards what would become my new favorite shop.  WOW. What an amazing concept. You Shop. We Donate. With a percentage of every purchase going to charity this is the best feel good shop in town! Not to mention the curated designer pieces including ready to wear, shoes and accessories.  They have something for you, your fancy friends and fabulous events.
