Please join us for our Winter Series on Wednesdays, March 22 – April 5, 2017. Each week, one of our local experts will present on their area of expertise. Everyone is welcome to attend – members FREE, non-members $10*. Drinks and healthy appetizers will be provided. Lectures will take place in the Aspen Square Conference Room. *We are proud to partner with Aspen Strong for our Lecture Series; 100% of the proceeds will be donated to this foundation.

Wednesday, March 22 – Dr. Christina Miller, MD, Integrative Medicine Physician | The Mind-Body Connection; How what we eat and how we live affects our mental health. Our minds and bodies are intimately connected, and we can have a strong influence with the daily choices we make to affect how we feel. Learn how to specifically fuel your body and mind to optimize mental health.

Wednesday, March 29 – Christina King, Founder and Executive Director of Aspen Strong | Maintaining Mental Hygiene in a Mountain Town – for you, your family, your business, and your community! What is mental hygiene? In this lecture, executive director and founder of Aspen Strong, Christina King, will help you to understand what having good mental hygiene is. She will discuss the importance of mental floss at home but also at the office, encouraging businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley to encompass mental hygiene within their organizational structure. Lastly, Aspen Strong will provide check ups from the neck up – an online anonymous mental health screener to get you started working on your mental hygiene today!

Wednesday, April 5 – Beth Mobilian, Spiritual Psychology Coach and Counselor | The Problem is Never the Problem … how we relate to the problem IS the Problem! How our thoughts, beliefs, patterns and perceptual filters affect how we feel and react to challenges.

The Aspen Strong Foundation is a nonprofit 501C3 organization in the Roaring Fork Valley. Their goals are to create financial resources for mental health needs, centralize mental health resources, and inspire a movement in the valley that promotes healthy community dialogue where suicide is recognized as preventable and mental hygiene is embraced and supported within community and organizational structure.
