Aspen Public Radio Affordable Housing Town Hall

February 7, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm UTC-6

What Can Cities And Towns Do To Address The Affordable Housing Crisis?

This town hall is the second in a series on housing in the Roaring Fork Valley. It will be centered on the ways Aspen and Snowmass Village are addressing the lack of affordable housing.

Panelists include Steve Skadron, mayor of the city of Aspen, Barry Crook, City of Aspen town manager, Markey Butler, mayor of the town of Snowmass Village and Terri Everest, assistant housing manager for Snowmass Village.

They’ll answer questions submitted by citizens about what cities can do about the housing crunch.

Aspen Public Radio’s news director Alycin Bektesh will moderate the panel.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the town hall beginning at 6 p.m. There will be a chance for informal discussion with panelists and audience members from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

We want your voice to be a part of the conversation! Do you have a question about housing in the valley? Have you had an experience relate to housing that you’d like to share?

No matter what it is, you’ve got our ear. You might even be featured in our town hall! To share, email [email protected] with the subject line, “Town Hall.”
