Call to Volunteers for Community Work Day at DeRail Park and The Latino Folk Art Garden

Oct. 6, 7, 14 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on The Rio Grande Trail in Carbondale, CO

The Carbondale Creative District has been investing time and money into the Rio Grande ARTway, the one mile stretch of trail that runs through Carbondale. Two parks are slated for clean up and planting this fall. DeRail Park is located at the entrance of the trail and Hwy. 133. A fence has been installed and RFTA has been busy grading and clearing the land. The design was created by DHM Architects and the Carbondale Rotary Clubs are leading the charge on creating this beautiful park. The Latino Folk Art Garden has been designed by Vanessa Gilbert and a team of Latino Stakeholders. It is located at 8th Street and the trail and needs to be prepped for irrigation and planting. All we need is YOU! The community, to step up and help us make it happen. Bring gloves and tools, if you have them, and be ready to dig in. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Please sign up at http://signup.com/go/CdCgeBN. For more information call Carbondale Arts at 963.1680.
