And, following Cocktails for Conservation later that evening will be an outdoor dance performance of “Letter To Congress: A WILD Sanity.” This event runs Aug. 25 & 26 at 7pm at Sustainable Settings outside of Carbondale and advocates for the preservation of wild public places for the sake of American spirit and sanity. The performance part of a larger film project that combines spoken letter with a vivid, intimate, and inspiring performance by dancers and musicians on public lands, illustrating the power these places have on our psyche that can’t be understood with words alone.
