Dance Valley Dance
April 14, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 11:00 pm UTC-6
WHAT IS DANCE, VALLEY, DANCE?
Aspen Youth Center and Stepping Stones of the Roaring Fork Valley are collaborating to host a 12 hour dance fundraiser benefiting youth from Aspen to Parachute (don’t worry, you can dance all or part of it!) Youth and adults will have the opportunity to fundraise by finding people and businesses to pledge money per every hour they dance or simply giving a one time flat donation. Platinum Productions DJ’s, dance instructors, youth dance groups, high school cheerleaders, and community members will lead participants through the event. Food and drink provided by Coloradough, Swire Coca Cola, Starbucks, Aspen Skiing Company and more.
This event is for kids and adults of all ages. Stay the whole 12 hours or only a part of it! Prizes will be given for biggest fundraiser, best costume, and there will be a raffle for everyone who fundraises at least $150.
ASPEN YOUTH CENTER
Aspen Youth Center is dedicated to providing a safe & supportive place where youth connect, learn, and grow during their out of school hours, for free. We serve over 2,000 youth in grades 4-12 throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Each day we provide daily, structured programming as well as free play and a quiet place to read and do homework. Our programming is engaging and educational and includes: Top Chef, Myth Busters, Art Spot, Agility Training, Mindfulness, Outdoor Explore, Community Crusaders, Tech Club, Dodge Ball, & a variety of sports. These programs get kids interested in activities they might not otherwise be exposed to & teach new life skills, helping them grow into the next generation of community members. Stepping Stones provides a variety of services including basic needs services, youth mentoring, skill development, educational support, community engagement, and access to programming in the arts and outdoor recreation. At Stepping Stones we believe diverse programming and positive adult role models play a crucial role in youth development.
