Exhibition Opening | Markings

We’re excited to announce the opening of a collaborative showing by the talented artists Jean Gumpper, Kate Leonard, and
Carl Reed. Their exhibition, Markings, will feature an opening event on November 6th from 5-7pm and will be viewable in our Patton-Malott Gallery from 9am-5pm until December 6th.
Jean’s work is represented by galleries across the United States as well as in Canada and Sweden. Her prints are in museums, universities, and private collections in the United State and Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Nepal and Sweden. She has participated in artist residencies at Anderson Center, Goldwell Museum near Death Valley, Rocky Mountain National Park, Ucross Foundation, and Grand Canyon National Park. Jean is currently Lecturer and Artist in Residence at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Kate Leonard is a Professor of Art at Colorado College, where she directs the Graphics Research Lab, an innovative program in printmaking. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally.
Carl Reed is a Professor Emeritus of Art at Colorado College. He continues to teach part-time there and maintains an active sculpture practice. He has exhibited widely in solo and group gallery shows, in both the U.S. and in Sweden, and is represented by the Robischon Gallery in Denver, Colo. Carl has installed numerous public sculpture and design projects, most notably ones that integrate sculpture with landscape and public gathering.
