First Friday: Valley Visual Art Show & Local Film Feature
February 2, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC-6
Join Carbondale Arts at The Launchpad on First Friday, Feb. 2 to view the 38th Valley Visual Art Show and the Short Film “Silverline Valentine” by local filmmaker Brandon McDuffey.
Silverline Valentine is a short cerebral romance adapted from a short story written by René Cousineau. Although the film was shot in Santa Fe, NM the project involved a crew not only from the LA and Denver area, but also from our very own Roaring Fork Valley including Producers Maxwell Barbanell and Veronica Glass Walker, Cinematographer Ian Morrison, Music Composer Lewis Hurrell, Storyboard Artist Carlos Peña, and Lead Actress Sophie Sakson. This event is not only to bring awareness to the film and the local artists that were involved, but will also be a Spare Change Fundraiser to help the film on the festival submission journey. Anything and everything from pennies to full dollars are greatly appreciated!
Film viewing times are 6p.m., 6:30p.m., 7p.m. and 7:30p.m. Refreshments will be served.
The People’s Choice Awards will be announced for the Valley Visual Art Show this same evening, so get your vote in by 6:30pm! Winners are awarded tickets to the Green Is The New Black Fashion Extravaganza and cash prizes as well.
