Healthy Aging Series
February 6 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm UTC-6
The Carbondale Branch Library invites the public to learn about healthy aging in a lecture series presented by Troye Boone, Nutritional Health Coach at Natural Grocers in Glenwood Springs.
Healthy Aging is a three-part educational series held this spring as part of the Garfield County Libraries’ 80th Anniversary Celebration. The first event “You Have the Power to Save Your Memory” focuses on our memory, which makes us who we are. As diseases that rob us of our valuable memories become more and more common, we need to do everything we can to protect our memory.
On March 6, Troye will explore Maintaining Muscle Mass. It’s never too early, or too late, to improve muscle health—and overall health! But after age 30, we can lose 3 to 8 percent of our muscle mass each decade! Learn how to maintain muscle mass now, and well into the future, with key foods and supplements all recommended by science-based research. Stay strong and muscle on!
On April 3, Troye will cover Bone Builders and Bone Breakers. It’s never too late to build bone health. Bones are living tissue that respond to bone building care throughout life. Support lifelong bone health by knowing how to get all the nutrients your bones need.
This free event series is sponsored by Glenwood Springs Natural Grocers and the Carbondale Branch Library. For more information call the library at 970-963-2889.
