The community is invited to kick-off summer at this beloved annual event. This year, AHS will expand the event to honor Carl Bergman, a longtime AHS board member who was instrumental in the creation and management of the Holden/Marolt Mining and Ranching Museum. To commemorate his role and invaluable support of AHS and the entire Aspen community, we will celebrate Carl during the event with a special naming ceremony, commemorative steam engine conductor hat giveaways (modeled after Carl’s omnipresent hat), remarks from one or two of Carl’s friends, family and/or Holden/Marolt volunteers, and more! These special elements will all be in addition to the usual festivities: machine demonstrations, farm animals, mining and ranching games, a beer garden, Hickory House barbecue and live music.
