Jeremy Swanson – Capturing Light and Color in Fall Photography
September 30, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm UTC-6
Capture the breathtaking autumn beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley in photographs by learning how to refine your creative vision, master your camera, and use editing techniques. Combining time in the classroom with field study at Rock Bottom Ranch, explore composition, exposure and editing. Space is limited to 12 participants.
This workshop is open to all. Participants are welcome to use any kind of digital camera — from SLR to mirrorless to iPhone. We will be exploring some manual camera functions such as exposure compensation and white balance which may require the use of an additional app for smart phone cameras.
Jeremy Swanson has been photographing the the Roaring Fork Valley since moving here to work for Anderson Ranch Arts Center in 1999. He became a full-time photographer just a few years later when he began partnering with the Aspen Skiing Company to capture images that tell the story of Aspen/Snowmass. His work has been published by National Geographic, Outside, Travel & Leisure, and Ski Magazine. Last summer, Jeremy’s landscape photos were shown in a solo exhibition at the Art Base.
