Plant-Based Recipe Swap

Join us for the inaugural Plant-Based Recipe Swap, part of the Aspen Valley Hospital’s Health & Wellness program! The event takes place in Aspen Valley Hospital’s Oden Conference Room.
Bring a favorite whole food, plant-based (WFPB) recipe to share, or just come to the event and learn some new recipes. There will be cooking and prep tips, speakers, tastings and, of course, new recipes!
We welcome guest speaker, Anthony Masiello, who lost 160 pounds eating a plant-based diet and has kept it off for 15 years! He now helps others learn how to eat and live a whole food, plant-based lifestyle, and he coaches on the mindset it takes to make sustainable changes.
What is plant-based?
Plant-based, or whole food, plant-based (WFPB), refers to nutrient-rich foods from plant sources, minimally processed, without added oils or chemical additives. It includes vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, some nuts and seeds.
Evidence supports plant-based recipes lead to: healthier weight; lower cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar; prevention or reversal of heart disease; reduced risk of diabetes and cancer; reduced symptoms of arthritis and autoimmune diseases; and it is good for the environment and animal welfare.
