Potbelly Perspectives

January 10, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm UTC-6

Presentation title: For the Love of Landscapes: Hunting for Magic in Scandinavia

Speaker: Sarah Uhl

Description: Sarah Uhl, an artist and illustrator from Carbondale, will share photos and watercolor paintings from a 3-week voyage to Iceland, Ireland, Norway and Wales. Sarah traveled solo to all four countries this past June, collecting memories in her sketchbook along the way. Sarah is a plein air painter, adventurer and natural storyteller. Join us for a slideshow-show-and-tell as Sarah reflects on the value of traveling alone, why sleeping in sheep pastures is always better than a hotel, and what it feels like to spend three weeks in a landscape you through only existed in your imagination.

About Potbelly Perspectives: ACES’ Potbelly Perspectives speaker series features exciting accounts of world travel and adventure shared through images and stories by locals and visitors to Aspen. Tea, donated by Two Leaves and a Bud, and Paradise Bakery cookies will be offered during lecture.
