Shibori Resist Dyed Silk Scarves

December 10, 2016 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm UTC-6

We have a few spots left in tomorrow’s class:

SHIBORI RESIST DYED SILK SCARVES
with Jill Scher
Saturday, December 10
12:30-4:30pm
$90 or 3 TAB Punches

Learn how to make beautiful one of a kind silk scarves using Shibori techniques and natural dyes. Shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique from the 8th century, produces patterns using hand stitching, folding, tying, wrapping, clamping and dyeing. The instructor will demonstrate a few simple resist techniques. Students will then use one or more resists and select from a range of prepared dyes to create up to three unique scarves. Scarves will be provided ready for dyeing. Please wear “studio” clothes and bring rubber gloves.
