Toklat Workshop: Upcycling – Make Your Own Glass from a Bottle

March 4 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm UTC-6

Join ACES Naturalist Ben Sherman for a unique upcycling craft workshop.

Bring along an empty wine or liquor bottle, and with a little heat and a simple scoring tool, we’ll create drinking glasses, tumblers, or candle holders. Remove a few bottles from the energy-intensive recycling stream and take home a stylish new glass in the process! After sanding and finishing our work, we’ll test them out with some refreshments.

Please bring: an empty wine or liquor bottle (thicker glass works best, however you’re welcome to try with a beer bottle).

RSVP at https://www.aspennature.org/learn/programs/winter-spring/toklatworkshop3.

About Toklat Workshops: Toklat Workshops are a four-part series. Each workshop is hosted by an ACES Naturalist who currently resides at this special place. Each workshop offers an opportunity to learn something new, and to meet and collaborate with fellow residents and visitors to the Roaring Fork Valley. Join ACES in creating a closer and more caring community through music, writing, and art.
