Free

The 2nd annual Trash Crush community clean-up and environmental stewardship event is being held on Friday, June 2nd from 11:00-1:00, meeting at the Northstar Preserve south gate parking lot.  Hosted by Erik Skarvan of Sun Dog Athletics and Todd Shaver of the Bull Market Report, Trash Crush is a volunteer effort to clean up litter along the Northstar Nature Preserve and nearby roadways and raise awareness about caring for our public lands. The event partners with CDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program and is sponsored by The Aspen Times and Pitkin County Landfill, who is supplying all volunteers with state of the art re-usable beverage containers. The first 24 volunteers will receive a complimentary lunch afterwards courtesy of partner Meat & Cheese Restaurant & Farm Shop. Everyone in the community is welcome to take part and is asked to bring work gloves & extra clothing, in case of inclement weather. Registration is not necessary.  More information is available by contacting Erik Skarvan at [email protected] or Todd Shaver at [email protected] .
