Vertical Blue, Autism Awareness Day at Aspen Highlands

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH

A full day of festivities including an on- mountain scavenger hunt, après ski party with DJ Dylan, and drawings for great prizes and giveaways with Light It Up Blue Aspen pro athletes and celebrities.
9 am – 5 pm   Visit the Ascendigo booth in the base plaza to sign up for the scavenger hunt and prize drawings.
3 – 5 pm Après Ski Party at Highlands Ale House with complimentary beer, prize giveaways, DJ Dylan and more!
NIGHT: New this Year! Light It Up Blue Aspen turns the Belly Up Aspen blue for a lively reception style evening of fundraising, delectable food & beverage stations, Black Pistol Fire, VIP gift bags and more. Guests will be able to bid on fabulous one-of a kind live auction experiences, a raffle and online silent auction.  Enjoy specialty cocktails and beverages compliments of Woody Creek Distillers, Arta Tequila, Anheuser Busch and sumptuous passed hors d’oeuvres, chef dinner stations and desserts for VIP Ticket Holders.    Cocktail Attire.
7 pm  VIP Reception with Hosted Bar, Chef Dinner Stations, Desserts and VIP Gift Bags.  
8:45 pm  Doors Open for Powder Blue Non-seated Ticket Holders (Powder Blue Ticket Holders include Hosted Bar, Sweet & Savory Canapés and Concert).  
9 pm  Program and Live Auction with Areva Martin, Esq., Bobby Kennedy, Chris Davenport and Co-Hosts Julie Manning & Stephen Olitsky.  
10 pm Concert with Black Pistol Fire!  
The evening will kick off with an intimate VIP reception at 7 pm offering sponsors and VIP guests a chance to mingle with athlete, musicians and celebrity guests including TV Talk Show Host and Autism Rights Advocate Areva Martin, Attorney and Environmental Activist Bobby KennedyDr. Jennifer Berman of CBS’s “The Doctors”, World Class Ski Mountaineer Chris Davenport, Actress Cheryl Hines, and Black Pistol Fire! Last year’s special guest was Bode Miller who skied with Ascendigo kids on Saturday as well as live auction experience winners on Sunday.  More special guests will be announced soon!

The mission of Light It Up Blue Aspen is to raise both awareness and much-needed funds to assist families and children on the autism spectrum in the Roaring Fork Valley and western Colorado communities. All proceeds from Light It Up Blue Aspen directly benefit these programs through its beneficiary, Ascendigo.  Sponsors for this year’s event include:  Sentient Jet, Coldwell Banker/Mason Morse, Olitsky Family Foundation, Woody Creek Distillers, Aspen Magazine, Aspen Times and more.
