Wasted!: The Story of Food Waste at The Temporary
February 6, 2018 @ 6:30 pm UTC-6
40% of the food in America is Wasted. This new documentary by Anthony Bourdain aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the eyes of chef-heroes like Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and shows us how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to make the most of every kind of food.
Recovered food appetizers prepared by Rock Bottom Ranch will be served, and ACES CEO Chris Lane will moderate a panel following the screening, featuring Wendy Mitchell from Meat & Cheese, Jed Miller from Pitkin County Landfill, and Jason Smith, Director of Rock Bottom Ranch. This event is part of the ‘Culture With a Concience’ series presented by TACAW and ACES. Food will be served at 5:30PM, the film screening will start at 6:00PM, and the panel will begin at 7:30PM.
