Workshop: Yoga To Alleviate Anxiety and Depression

This workshop is a thorough introduction to an upcoming series of sessions where students will explore self-healing modalities which are effective and profoundly liberating when combating the debilitating effects of anxiety and depression. Learn breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, lifestyle choices and dietary suggestions that help to break down psychological, biochemical, and physical cycles that contribute to feelings of unease, eventually overcoming anxiety and depression. The combination of the methods that we explore are very powerful. Yoga Therapy is a blend of traditional Yoga practices, Ayurveda, Alternative Medicine, and modern medical science. This workshop is designed for those who suffer from anxiety; seasonal or mild depression and PTSD. Though taught in a group setting, this is a very private and personal experience. Presentations are given with verbal cue and handouts while all activities are private with no group. Participants will never be asked to speak publicly.
