On the last day of our trip in Colorado Springs, we packed in the activities from The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to the Cave of the Winds. I was sad to go home, but ready to have some time with people my age.

It is tough being a parent in many ways but what I find most difficult is encorporating music, dance and language classes into their busy life of academics and sports. So when Axel expressed an interest in hip hop lessons, I jumped all over it and included a visit to a Hip Hop Festival into our agenda on our trip.
Our stay in Denver revolved around an elusive Hip Hop Festival that was taking place. I didn’t know how it was going to pan out but I am so happy I persevered and took the boys to the Showcase Festival that occurred last night in a nearby Tavern.
I’m back from our week long trip around Colorado and boy do I have some stories for you. It all starts with our stay at The Brown Palace in downtown Denver.
