Giovanna O. Kennedy – Good thing I moved to Aspen!

My name is Giovanna Kennedy and I am a Roaring Fork Valley local of almost 20 years and an Associate Broker at Roaring Fork Valley Sotheby’s International Realty.

My love for this place began in the winter of 2001 when I came to Aspen for my college winter break. At the time, I was studying Industrial Engineering in my hometown of  Lima, Peru, and had come to Aspen for only the winter season. However, those couple of months changed my life. I fell in love with the Valley’s beauty and its people– I wasted no time in moving to Aspen.

Over the years I built a career in banking and luxury hospitality before deciding it was time for me to transition into Real Estate. I realized that my expertise in our local housing markets, combined with my personal networks and my hard work ethic, would distinctly benefit clientele looking to buy or sell in the Roaring Fork Valley.

My work as an Associate Broker/Realtor at Sotheby’s is some of the most rewarding and engaging work I have done. By nature, I enjoy helping others materialize their goals. This is why real estate came naturally to me. I enjoy providing my clients with the results they expect and deserve. Whether you are looking to sell a property or buy your dream home, I am here to help you achieve your goal in the most effective and easy manner possible!

What motivates Giovanna?

Giving back to the Roaring Fork Community that has given me so much over the years. My main focus is on children’s education and health. For the past 4 years, I have been the PTA Chair/Fundraising person at St Stephen’s School and the founder of their annual Winter Gala.  I have also been a member of the fundraising committee for “Wine Women & Shoes” & currently, the “Day of Rose,” benefiting the Shining Star’s Foundation.

And of course, at my very core, my family is my motivation. My oldest daughter is a Columbia University graduate currently working in investment banking; my son attends St Stephen Catholic School, and my husband is the GM at the Courtyard by Marriot. Their personal successes and support inspire and challenge me every day– Good thing I moved to Aspen! Please contact me to help you find your perfect dream home in our Roaring Fork Valley.

Aspen Real Life
Last night we hiked up Smuggler Mountain. It was 19 degrees but we were layered and we had our sleds on our backs for a speedy descent. Between the lights from the X-Games and the Wolf Moon shining as bright as the sun we never needed to turn on our headlamps. It was an incredibly magical evening, as spots of light from the moon filtered through the forest the snow twinkled as brightly as the stars above, also igniting a light within us that will stay shining for as long as the memory lasts, which hopefully will be forever. 📸 @cathyjmiller #mountainstories#aspenreallife#aspenlife#mountainlife#wolfmoon2021 ...

#4 ASPEN BUSINESS CONNECT REAL PROFILES WITH LEX LUCIUS, Artist, Designer. our blog: "For the past decade, I have been the sole fabricator of the Herbert Bayer estate sculptures....The resulting works that I created have been placed in private collections and corporate locations throughout the country, including two monumental works recently installed across from The Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN. The work of bringing Bayer’s models to the public continues in my new location in Basalt, where I am working on midsize versions that may one day be realized on a monumental scale. I am also working on my own painting and sculpture and would enjoy fabricating for other valley artists. My studio is open to visitors by appointment.
