Aspen Youth Center Aether Games

Join Aspen Youth Center for the 4th Annual Aether Games!
Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 12 PM – 5 PM MDT Aspen, Colorado

Aspen’s most cherished center for our youth holds an annual field day event to support the center. It will be a bit different in 2020 but it will be just as fun. Join in for a scavenger hunt! Aspen Youth Center and Aether Apparel are partnering up with the Goosechase App for a safe, social distanced, scavenger hunt around Aspen, Colorado for adults and kids alike!

How does it work?
1. AYC and Aether are creating a scavenger hunt game with “missions” you and your team will solve to receive points.
2. 20 teams of 4 or 5 (kids welcome!) will sign up for $100 (all of which goes to support AYC’s free
programs). Teams download the GooseChase App onto their Android/iOS device.
3. Once you are signed up we will send you further instructions and the password for the game will be sent to you the morning of September 12. The game begins at noon.
4. Missions will be located all over Aspen. The goal is to complete all or as much of the mission list as possible in the given time. Each mission has a point value and does not have to be done in order. There will be prizes at random missions.

Aether Apparel is stepping up for our kids for the fourth year in a row. Will you join them?

Teams of 4 or 5 are $100 (or $20-$25 per person).

Included in team registration is access to the app, snacks/drinks at certain stops, awesome silipint pint glass, popsocket, discounts and surprises at many stops, and a big prize package for the winning team!

OVERVIEW
The Aether Games – The Scavenger Hunt, is a twist on their popular annual fundraising event in Aspen benefitting Aspen Youth Center who wants to have fun and support our kids and local businesses while also remaining socially distant and masking up.

AYC is the ONLY FREE after school and all day summer program for kids in the Roaring Fork Valley. AYC provides a safe and supportive place where youth in grades 4-12 connect, learn, and grow during their out of school hours, for FREE! During the COVID closures, we offered virtual programming and were allowed to reopen on June 8 for 40 kids each week. We will be continuing programming into the school year to support our kids.

Repost: ONE NEED NOT practice yoga to appreciate the deity Lakshmi, who sits with peaceful strength in a small alcove at True Nature Healing Arts in Carbondale. LAKSHMI seems comforting, perplexing, inspiring – a woman turned quietly inward while also responding powerfully to the outer world. “Lakshmi is the Goddess of good fortune, fertility, prosperity, and joy,” Deva Shantay, co-creator of TNHA shares. “Her name means to know and understand your purpose.” As it happens, each of the six women we feature in this year’s Mothers’ Day tribute spoke of Lakshmi without naming Her. For She embodies the owl’s ability to work and prevail in confusing times. She brings balance. Spiritual and material; activity and stillness. It is a gift of True Nature that we found ourselves seeing these qualities in each of the women featured this year in MOUNTAIN PARENT's Annual Mother's Day Tribute: Deva Shantay of True Nature Healing ArtsGail Schwartz of Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork ValleyBella Collier of Legacy Dance CompanyErin Cuseo of Erin's Acres FarmJillian Livingston of Aspen Real LifeKathleen Wanatowicz of PR Studio COEach, a leader in her field. Each, raising children while giving birth to her own purpose. Each was photographed for our MOMPRENEUR Mother's Day Tribute at True Nature Healing Arts by portrait artist Sarah Kuhn. Imagine the tranquility of an already-serene place. Imagine slowing down and breathing. Being present in conversation with women whom we invited, one-at-a-time, such as it is. We heard of their ideas, their concerns, their children, their plans. In our MOMPRENEUR series that follows, we will share their stories in their own words. We surely felt the presence of the Goddess. She sat still and listened and so did we.______________________________________________________Thank you Mountain Parent Magazine for spotlighting women in our valley who have done what they can to bring the community together and help others while also raising their own children.#celebratedwomen#celebratingmoms#womenempoweringwomen #mompreneur#mothersdaytributr#tributetomoms#goddessvibes ...
