While their festival comes in late April, 5Point Film is hosting an evening in Aspen, CO filled with inspiring films, world-renowned athletes, and New Belgium brews.

On Saturday, January 19th, 5Point Film will be hosting an event at the Wheeler Opera House in downtown Aspen, CO. Boiling down their formula for the annual four day 5Point Film Festival in Carbondale, CO at the end of April, there will be an hour of meet-and-greet to chat with athletes, filmmakers, friends, and family, including local food and New Belgium beer, followed by three hours of inspirational films and discussion from various athletes.

Bringing in high-caliber climbers, this years Aspen event will include Alex Honnold, and the father-son duo, Michael and Hayden Kennedy. Screening Honnold 3.0, Honnolds latest film, the audience will witness his drive to conquer some of the most difficult climbing feats. Doing so in record time and without protection, gives him his reputation as one of the boldest free soloists of his generation. Following the film, 5Point has designed a unique discussion with Honnold, which will give the audience an insight into the mind and world of this amazing climber. In addition, Michael and Hayden Kennedy, both leading alpinists in their respective time periods, will discuss the risks and rewards when above 20,000 ft. While both are world renowned for their athletic prowess and technical skills, it will be a rare comparison between the experiences of a veteran climber and his young son, who at 22 years old, is already seen as one of the worlds best all-round climbers.

Doors open at 6 PM, and $20 tickets can be purchased online at the Wheeler Opera House website (
