Walking in Beauty through Difficult Times: A talk by Dine’ Elder Lupita McClanahan

Join us for an evening of wisdom and storytelling with Diné Elder Lupita McClanahan as she shares “Walking in Beauty through Difficult Times.” The Crystal Theatre Alliance is excited to host more cultural events that bring people together for learning and connection. “Hozho,” or The Beauty Way, is a central practice of the Diné people. Raised in secrecy by traditional elders in Canyon de Chelly to protect her family’s lineage from the boarding school system, Lupita later drew on her cultural strength to endure and overcome great challenges. Come hear her remarkable stories of resilience and stay for a Q&A to engage directly with her insights.
