Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn: Get Out and Support Our Restaurants
If there were ever a week to make dinner plans, this is it.
Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn is here, bringing together restaurants throughout Aspen with special multi-course prix fixe menus at $45, $75 and $95. Presented with the support of ACRA, the inaugural fall Restaurant Week is about much more than getting a great deal on dinner. It’s an opportunity to support the restaurants, chefs, servers, bartenders and owners who make Aspen such an incredible place to eat.
I’m particularly excited about the timing. Fall is when locals get our town back a little. We can actually get a reservation, sit at the bar, run into people we know and try a restaurant we’ve been meaning to visit.
So make a plan with friends, try somewhere new, return to a restaurant you already love, and perhaps make it to more than one before the week is over.
PARC Aspen
I wanted to begin with PARC Aspen, one of our Aspen Business Connect Restaurant Partners and one of the restaurants that helped bring Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn to life.
From the PARC Aspen team:
Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn has truly been a passion project turned reality, and we could not be more proud to be part of its inaugural year. With the support of ACRA and a dedicated planning committee made up of local restaurateurs, the vision has always been about more than offering a special menu. We wanted to create an opportunity for Aspen’s restaurant community to come together, shine a light on our remarkable locally owned and longstanding restaurants, and give both locals and visitors another reason to experience the incredible culinary talent that exists throughout our valley.
At PARC Aspen, we’re honored to offer two menus during the week: a $45++ three-course experience in the Bar and a $75++ three-course experience in the Dining Room. More than anything, we hope guests use Restaurant Week as an invitation to get out, try somewhere new, revisit an old favorite, and dine at several participating restaurants throughout the week. We are incredibly fortunate to call the Roaring Fork Valley home, and supporting one another is important for keeping our local restaurant community vibrant. Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn is a celebration of exactly that.
I couldn't agree more.
So Many Aspen Restaurants to Try
One of the best things about Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn is just how many restaurants have come together to participate. From longtime Aspen favorites and locally owned dining rooms to sushi, steak, Italian, French, Mexican and everything in between, this is a great excuse to move around town and experience more than one.
Participating restaurants include: Aosta Ristorante, Angelo’s, Acquolina Trattoria & Pizzeria, Bear Den Aspen, Betula Aspen, BOSQ, Catch Steak, Duemani, Ellina, French Alpine Bistro, Golden Horn, Jimoto Ramen, Jing Aspen, Kenichi, Las Montañas, Lola 41, Matsuhisa Aspen, Mawa’s Kitchen, Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop, The Monarch, PARC Aspen, SteakHouse No. 316, Stranahan’s Whiskey Lodge, The Wild Fig, W Aspen’s 39 Degrees, West End Social and Yuki Aspen.
With specially priced multi-course menus at $45, $75 and $95, Restaurant Week gives us a chance to try somewhere new, revisit an old favorite, and support a whole lot of our restaurant community in one delicious week.
Why Restaurant Week Matters
Those of us who live here know how much our restaurants contribute to the personality of Aspen.
They are where we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, meet a friend at the bar, conduct business over lunch, gather after skiing and inevitably bump into half the people we know. They're part of the fabric of this town.
And running a restaurant here isn't easy.
That's why I hope we treat Restaurant Week as more than an opportunity for a discounted meal. It's a reason to show up.
Book the table. Bring friends. Order the cocktail or glass of wine. Tip well. Talk to the people sitting next to you. And if you have a great experience, tell people about it.
Supporting locally owned businesses isn't something we should only talk about. We have to actually walk through their doors.
And this week, we have a particularly delicious excuse.
See you at the restaurants!
