Carbondale's December First Friday with extended hours at local shops, galleries and restaurants. Tree lighting at 5:30 PM at Weant Blvd & Main St, then festivities at 4th & Main: free sleigh rides with Santa (5:45–7:45 PM), free hot cocoa and sugar cookies while supplies last, a bonfire, caroling, community booths and food trucks. The Deck the Walls Holiday Market at the Carbondale Arts Gallery (76 S 4th St) stays open until 7 PM with performances by the Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra. Main Street (Weant Blvd to Third St) and 4th Street close to traffic 5–9 PM; no parking from 4:30 PM.
