Aspen’s Teen Artist Axel Livingston

Axel Livingston is a sixteen year old artist, and son of Aspen Real Life Editor, Jillian Livingston. Axel’s work is influenced by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and the lessor known artist, “Neckface,” to name a few.

Growing up in Aspen has lead Axel to be drawn to the flaws that he sees in society. His illustrations reveal his discontent with mass conformity. He has been commissioned by skateboard and clothing companies.

Axel is doing his best to apply for programs available to him at the phenomenal art centers in our valley, including Anderson Ranch Arts Center and Art Base, and his goal is to work hard to be awarded a scholarship and continue to study art at a university after graduating high school.

Axel’s artwork may be purchased by messaging him at @PsycoAxel_art on Instagram, or by email: [email protected].
