Snow Drawings environmental art project with Sonja Hinrichsen
March 16, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm UTC-6Free
Curious about art? Love the outdoors? Be a part of a unique opportunity to create a landscape-scale work of art in the snow, led by environmental artist Sonja Hinrichsen (www.sonja-hinrichsen.com). The “snow drawing” installation is presented by CORE and the City of Aspen as part of a new climate change engagement project that will demonstrate the beauty of collective action. Free and open to the public. Instruction and snowshoes will be provided (unless you have your own). Learn more at a free artist talk and slideshow on Thursday, March 16 at 5:30 pm at the Pitkin County Library, and by contacting Celia Gregory at [email protected]. Participants will be able to sign up for community snow drawing events that will take place on March 18/19 and 25/26. Dates are weather dependent.
