| The students of Carbondale Arts’ Creative Apprentice Program got to enjoy the experience of seeing their work make its debut in the Green is the New Black Fashion Extravaganza. To honor their work and complement the current exhibition Wrapped, Powers Art Center will be displaying their sketches and concept boards April 5 – May 4. The pieces were so successful that community members have inquired about purchasing them, which are now up for auction. Make your bids (or donations) here. Proceeds from the auction will support future collaborations between Carbondale Arts and the ReWear Upcycling Initiative at The Project Shop. Word on the street is: there is an exciting unveiling of a grandiose art piece by local artists Brian Colley and Andrew Chandler at El Dorado this Friday, March 22.
