A Week Gone Wrong
This week was hell on wheels! Zilch in the bank account. Felt like Mary-Louise Parker in Weeds while showing our rental to shady new tenants. Back went out from writing too much. Trip to Glenwood for a child with chest pains… worry, worry, worry. A 3 a.m. talk with my 13-year-old about teenage anxiety… worry, worry, worry more. Tried to pay attention to a hubby in overdrive mode, tried to work while the kids banged on drums next to my dungeon office, got an enormous owie on my mountain bike, drove upvalley for the Aspen Words Story Swap, drove downvalley to court to dispute a $750 speeding ticket (I can explain), stationed the kids outside restaurants to sell Ducky Derby ducks to diners who’d hopefully had enough wine to be generous… made tons of mistakes, didn’t work out, head about to blow off.
But as you read this, I’ll be putting in, or whatever you river rats call it, and guess what I’m bringing with me? A bottle. Want one?
